The Moore-Myers Eagle G.R.O.W.T.H. Academy
For Eagles looking to take their game to the next level, MMCF has created the G.R.O.W.T.H. (Golf Related Opportunities While Transcending Humanity) Academy. G.R.O.W.T.H. Academy participants are students who have the focus, passion, and desire to play competitive golf, either with school teams or in individual tournaments.
Our golf-focused curriculum gives these self-motivated young people the means to elevate their golf skills to college-level play with the goal of earning scholarships through both golf and academics.
G.R.O.W.T.H. Academy Requirements
Eagles must demonstrate core golf competencies related to play, course management, etiquette and rules to be considered for this program. Once approved, the Eagle will be paired with a PGA-certified golf instructor as well as a supplemental coach/mentor.
Eagles are expected to spend a minimum of six days per month at a golf course, including two lessons per month with their instructor and two additional practice sessions with their coach/mentor, in addition to individual practice or play time. Eagles must also play in at least one tournament or school team match per month.
MMCF is committed to developing exceptional human beings. As such, the G.R.O.W.T.H. Academy helps students develop not only the golf skills necessary to compete in tournaments and earn college scholarships, but also the life and character skills necessary to achieve their dreams.
Thus, off the course, Eagles must maintain high academic standards, and will also be given additional MMCF reading assignments.
Most importantly, our G.R.O.W.T.H. Academy Eagles must display our core values of confidence, honesty, respect, integrity, judgement, responsibility and perseverance at all times.
