Moore-Myers Children’s Fund (MMCF) believes every child deserves the chance to soar. Through golf, we teach focus, leadership, and resilience—empowering youth from diverse communities in Northeast Florida with programs that support academic growth and personal development.

Our Story: A Legacy of Purpose
The Moore-Myers Children’s Fund was inspired by Annie Moore, a teacher and a golfer, and Jessie Myers, an entrepreneur and mentor to many. Both women dedicated their lives to improving the lives of others, especially the lives of children.
In 2014, two of their own children, Dr. Justine Redding, daughter of Annie, and Richard Blackston, son of Jessie, created the Moore-Myers Children’s Fund to preserve their mothers’ legacies and to continue fostering their mission, ensuring that the lives of children will be positively impacted for years to come.
Our Mission
MMCF provides financial assistance to underserved children to participate in golf programs that teach the skills of golf and help children to develop exceptional character and a roadmap to success.
Our Vision
We envision a future where a child grows into a leader of character, empowered by the skills of competitive play, equipped to pursue higher education through scholarships, and inspired to enjoy golf as a lifelong sport.
Our Impact
More than 200 children have discovered the game of golf through our program. Every participant has graduated from high school, and 100% has gone on to pursue higher education. Remarkably, 90% continue to give back as mentors, carrying forward the lessons they learned. As we say with pride: “Once an Eagle, always an Eagle.”
How It Works
Through the game of golf, we are deeply committed to helping our Eagle build strong character and create a clear path towards success. By combining workshops and mentorship, we strive to transform lives by instilling and reinforcing seven character traits: Confidence, honesty, respect, integrity, judgment, responsibility, and perseverance, which are qualities that guide them both on and off the course.
