Golf was never on my radar, sports wise. Growing up, my interest gravitated towards dance and the arts. There were only two reasons I knew what golf was: Tiger Woods and my dad. My dad would sit on the couch, kick his feet up, watch and commentate on the players with a Pepsi in hand and I would just have to sit there and listen to him blabber. For all I knew, that was how far golf and I would intersect, until my first year of high school.

I was introduced to MMCF through the golf coach at my high school. I decided to join the team in efforts to bond with my old man. I couldn’t have imagined back then how much my life would change since then. Since being in the program, I have learned values such as etiquette, integrity, and kindness. I’ve learned how to network and go outside of my comfort zone. I’m also fortunate to have made so many great friends through this foundation.

Now a Junior at Florida A&M University, I carry these values with my head held high and they have helped me so much with my success in university. Thank you MMCF for crafting me into the person I am today.
