Eagles Soar into Summer with Learning Workshop Focused on Academic Growth

Summer is a time for fun and relaxation, but it’s also a critical opportunity to keep young minds active and engaged. That’s why Moore-Myers Children’s Fund recently hosted a Summer Learning Workshop for our Eagles, designed to assess their academic needs and prepare them for a strong start when school resumes in September.

The workshop focused on identifying areas where students may need support, particularly in reading and math, while also encouraging positive learning habits that can carry them through the summer months. Eagles participated in hands-on activities, skill assessments, and strategy sessions aimed at boosting their confidence and keeping their academic skills sharp.

In addition to academic preparation, the workshop emphasized the importance of daily reading, practicing basic math skills, and engaging in creative activities that stimulate critical thinking. Eagles received tips and tools to help them build a productive summer routine, balancing fun with learning.

Our goal is to prevent the “summer slide” and ensure each Eagle is equipped to return to school focused, prepared, and ready to succeed. We believe learning doesn’t stop when the school year ends, and through this workshop, our Eagles are set to make the most of their summer by continuing to grow both intellectually and personally.

MMCF is proud to support our Eagles every step of the way, on the course, in the classroom, and beyond!
